Some of the uglies from the fish market. You can click to enlarge the photo. The lobster was 74 euros per kilo, about $5o.oo per pound. The black shiny one is the famous 'turbot' and the one on the sink drain was supper!!!! Patti used coarse salt, about 3 kilos, and wet the salt, then totally wrapped the fish in the salt and baked it in the oven until the salt got rock hard. We then removed the salt and ts da!!!! the meal was delicious. We had quinoa, zucchini from the garden that was sauted in garlic and olive oil, roasted carrots.....just a small feast. The pricetags are in euros, about $1.40 canadian for one euro and it is for a kilo. The fish is by no means cheap. At least not for the consumer. Food in general is expensive but the wine is not. Can one live on grapes alone¿¿¿¿¿
