An early Happy Valentines Day people. Just a quick Hi and a few photos to give you a laugh if nothing else. The Prince of Wales tea was sent to me by Babs, our friend in Spain. she is a Brit. Told you I was knitting...wait tilt you see my new sweater!! Should be ready by April. Will model for you then.
The flower is called "Lady of the night" and grows in Patti's garden. It only blooms ONE night per year and it can be easily missed. cool eh?
We are both getting over the cold. thankfully it has not turned into the flu or anything that nasty.
Gordon is still at Roma Settlement for another week at least. I am working in my office now until spring. Different for me. Am training a classroom teacher for Souris and Montage, also a Chinese classroom teacher. We have a lot of Chinese students since September especially. They are part of the Immigrant Investors Program and are moving to PEI and living here. Lots of nice people. So the easiest way to deal with it was to hire a Chinese educator. Also working on translating the Abegweit brocheure into Arabic, Persin.,Korean, Chinese and Croation. Will have the beginners handbook and a permit test translated as well. Am very glad to have the immigrant population to work with as the government has changed the age for our young novice drivers from 15.5 years to 16 years before getting a learners license. This will mean at least a 6 month lull in business for Abegweit. Yet another hurdle for us. At least now the young novice drivers will have to be at least 16 plus 9 months before getting a new license. Hopefully this will help. yet to be seen. The good part is that the government is seen as being very proactive. Still is only a bandaid where we actually need a 100 stitches, but is at least moving forward, sort of........
