Saturday hike and lunch in the mountains

We did about a 3.5 hour hike on Saturday on this trail that was actually switchbacked. The complete hike is about 7 hours. We had to go back to catch the train so we had lunch on the mountain and went back to the village for coffee. It was a beautiful day. Lunch never tasted so good. We were sitting beside a stream with asmall waterfall. Perfect.
Check out the almond tree in the photo. The white blooms are the sweet almonds and the beautiful pink ones are the bitter almonds. The trees bloom before the leaves come out. The ground get completely covered in blossoms. There were tons of orange and lemon trees, grape vines, olive trees, goats, sheep, and there had to some rabbits somewhere. The oranges were out of reach so I had to get a bit creative to grab some and give them to Heather, fresh off the tree. The photo of the orange tree is great eh??
